Blueberry Ginger Shrub

Shrubs are a combination of fruit, a sweetener and vinegar.   Our shrubs are unique in that they are made fully from scratch, including the vinegar.

This is a Blueberry & Ginger vinegar (made from the upcycled pressings of a local meadery, Blisspoint Meadery in Bedford, MA) combined with a Blueberry & Ginger syrup, to really drive home the flavor.  The result is a little sweet, still sour, and a little ginger spice to finish.

Mix a tablespoon or two with a glass of seltzer, water, or lemonade for a mocktail.  And check out the Any Shrub Cocktail Recipe for inspiration to make it alcoholic.  This can also be used like a balsamic vinegar: Mix with a little olive oil and a pinch of salt for a delicious salad dressing.
