Shrubs are a combination of fruit, a sweetener and vinegar. This is made from a “salted plum” syrup which is given its salty umami from a soy-free, gluten-free tamari made from peas (San-J No Soy Tamari) mixed with F-Word Farm Blackberry & Blueberry Wine Vinegar (made from local winemaker’s wine)! Sweet, sour and a tiny touch salty. Use as a dipping sauce for eggrolls or dumplings, as a salad dressing, or mix with seltzer water for a real electrolyte beverage.
