Spicy Apple Shrub

Shrubs are a combination of fruit, a sweetener and vinegar.  This is made from F-Word Farm grown lemon starburst hot peppers, which are insanely fragrant, and F-Word Farm Apple & Fennel vinegar.  It has a slight spiciness that comes at the very end, preceded by an almost maple-y caramel apple flavor. Truly unique. Sweet and tart. Mix with seltzer water for a probiotic mocktail or add some gin or vodka to make it a cocktail. Also good in place of a balsamic vinegar mixed with oil on salads, chicken, fish, fruit or even ice cream.
